About TPPM Cairns
A pest control company that actually picks up the phone.
We’re a locally owned Cairns crew doing pest control the honest way, family-safe treatments, plain-English quotes, and a 6-month complimentary service period on every general job. No call centres, no scripts, no runaround.
Built for Cairns conditions, not generic Sydney pest control templates.
Tropical Palms started for a simple reason: too many Cairns locals were getting rushed treatments, vague quotes and pests back inside a month. The tropics are their own beast. German cockroaches in the wet, termites working year-round, mozzies off the cane. Pest control written for a cool southern climate just doesn’t hold up here.
We don’t curate, upsell or hide behind a call centre. You get a local who turns up, explains what they’re doing, and stands behind it in writing.
So we built the company we’d want to call ourselves. Family-safe, low-tox products. Honest, itemised quotes in writing. And a 6-month complimentary service period on every general treatment, if they come back inside six months, so do we, at no charge. That’s the whole pitch.
Today we look after homes and businesses right across Cairns, from the northern beaches to the southern suburbs. We’re QBCC licensed, AEPMA members and fully insured, but mostly, we’re the crew that picks up the phone.
Our story
2022
Kurt starts Tropical Palms
Kurt founds TPPM and runs it on his own: a ute, a licence, and a standard. Tropical pest control done the honest way, with written quotes, family-safe products and no high-pressure upsells.
As we grew
Jamaine joins to run operations
Word got around, and the bookings started coming in faster than one person could keep up with. Kurt brought Jamaine in to manage operations so every call, quote and job stayed on top of.
Building the team
From a handful of bookings to a full diary
What started as a handful of jobs became a booked-out week across the northern beaches and the city, so the crew grew to keep up: homes, rentals, strata, hospitality and commercial.
Today
Fully booked, still growing, same standard
A 5-star rating from 300+ Cairns locals, live Google reviews we don’t curate, edit or cherry-pick. The team keeps growing; the standard hasn’t moved.
How we work
The honest way to do pest control.
Four things we promise on every job, whether it’s a unit in Manunda or a restaurant on the Esplanade.
01
Family- & pet-safe
Low-tox products and clear re-entry windows. We brief you on fish tanks, allergies and the kids before we treat.
02
Honest, upfront quotes
No upsells, no lock-in contracts, no jargon. Clear, itemised quotes in writing before any work starts.
03
Local & on time
Cairns locals who actually answer the phone. Same-day service where we can, and we turn up when we say we will.
04
Great customer service
We’re not done when the truck leaves. We answer the phone, follow up after the job, and if we’ve seen high pest activity we check in around four weeks later to make sure it’s settled.
